Venturing into the winter garden

It was too cold to stay outside for very long, but I was compelled to see what had been covered with or destroyed by the inches and inches of snow, round 2.

The valentine garden flag I put out to brighten my favorite corner was still there and when the wind suffered a small lull, the flag hung straight for its picture.

Gnomey stands waiting at the chapel; it appears that his intended didn’t show up, even after he shoveled the walk.

Snowball lives up to his name; I was wondering if I could even find him, but he was protected by the yew.   He will probably hop to another part of the garden when the daffodils and tulips are blooming.
